I'm pretty sure I've already let you know how much I love this, but it still stands. =]

And as far as Photomatix goes, I've played around with the trial version and love it. As soon as I can justify buying it, it's mine!

Lee: Thanks for the feedback! I think you're right about the shadows but i had trouble keeping it rich and heavy on contrast when I let it go lighter. I hate HDR images you see where there is almost no shadow because of so much light and the mid-tones start to flatten. I also tend to shoot a little dark. I'll play with it and see what I can do. Also i'll keep that in mind for the future.

Jeff: I haven't played with Photomatix yet, though I've heard great things.

Thanks for checking out my blog!

Keep us posted on future HDR work. I'm starting to play around with it a bit myself. I think the process is pretty cool. Have you played with Photomatix? I've heard good things about it.

I like the concept of this shot and there is lot of positives here. But to be honest, I would like to see a little more detail in the foreground. There is too much lost in the shadows, in my opinion. Originally being from Illinois, I especially like the subject. :) I think you would get a much more appealing results at a different time of day when there is more light available.
